Description

this took me awhile but i can't really remember if it look longer than the last deviation. i think it did... well, i spread it out over a number of days, a little more than a week, but there were some days i didn't touch it at all. blahblahblah.

reference pic is from superior pics of adriana lima.

it was kind of tricky in some parts, perhaps i'm not skilled to "overcome" them, just yet:
-the hair: the only parts of the hair in focus were the upper left corner and the dark mass under her left eye. and given my past history with detesting hair, drawing it out of focus was rather annoying so i made it a bit more focused than the original.
-her skin reflection: i chose this picture because of the vast shades in her skin tone, including the funky reflectionness on her cheek. no, it's not some unfortunate skin disease, and no i didn't spill coffee on that spot and attempt to miserably clean it up (that is what my mom said it looks like). i tried to make it look like the original, i kind of suceeded (in comparison) but as a stand alone it does look rather odd.
-the background/side of face: this whole area was blurred completely. there are shadow lines of her across her lower cheek and i darkened those and the actual random hair clumps so i could make the bottom right corner completely dark with a good reason. however the background really wasn't anything to begin with so now it just looks like she's sort of floating. but also given my huge lack of creativity, i'd rather leave it this way than create funky splotches.
-oh yea, the strands of hair across her face: they start out in focus but move closer to the camera towards the end and leave the focus area so that's why it doesn't exactly make sense on the drawing.

i really like doing lips i've realised, and i think hers are the best i've ever done. and i really did try to make this drawing look a bit more realistic than my previous, but i don't think i pulled it off...
